NASDAQ OMX Armenia authorized the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) as a market participant in the government bonds and foreign currency markets.

This allows EDB to trade Armenia’s government bonds as well as participate in the foreign exchange market.

The bank emphasizes their readiness to become a NASDAQ OMX Armenia market maker for the transactions of national currencies of the bank’s member states if there is a demand in the local market.

Founded by Russia and Kazakhstan in 2006, the Eurasian Development Bank is an international financial institution established to promote economic growth in its member states, extend trade and economic ties among them, and support integration in Eurasia through investment. Armenia joined EDB in 2009. The bank’s members include Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Tajikistan and Belarus.
